How to Root HTC Wildfire S

Battery: Li-Ion 1230 mAh battery
Colors: Black, Silver, Brown, Lilac
Prerequisite
  1. Charge your phone’s battery at least 60%.
  2. Do backup everything important like contacts, logs, messages with Super Backup.

  1. PG76IMG.zip [Download Link]
  2. Root.zip [Download Link]

How to Root HTC Wildfire S

  1. Connect your mobile to PC and copy the PG76IMG.zip file in your SD card.
  2. Disconnect your phone from PC, disable fast boot and power off it.
  3. Hold Volume up Button + Power Button until the device boots into Hboot Screen.
  4. ‘Apply Update’ will show up, the touchscreen won’t work in this mode, so click Volume Up button. Then power off the handset with Power Button.
  5. Now remove the PG76IMG.zip from your SD card and copy root.zip to your SDcard.
  6. Again boot into Hboot mode as you did earlier.
  7. Now enter into recovery mode (navigate through volume keys)
  8. Select “Install Zip from SD card” and select root.zip file. Select yes and confirm it, now the script will root your device and power on when it is done.
  9. You have successfully rooted your HTC Wildfire S now.
